This backpack is can be good for edc, but I usually use it on trips and tbf it is great. Please bring out more backpacks. These are awesome
I’ve been an owner of this bag ever since the start of the fall semester of college (mid August) and I’ve used it every day essentially when walking around campus for my laptop, books - everything I need to carry, I put it in this bag and it hasn’t failed me once. The laptop compartment is very spacious and has great protection, and I use the small compartment in front of it for pencil pouches, etc. I’ve had to pick up packages at the post office and some boxes are small enough to fit into the bag without me having to even upzip the extra 5L, WITH my notebooks and my folders in there along with it. It’s an extremely light and comfortable bag and has lasted through pouring rain, cold, heat, anything I’ve thrown at it. This paired along with the creator himself replying to my emails in under 24hrs about any questions or concerns I’ve had about the bag, makes this an excellent purchase alone even if you’re on edge about it. I’m excited to see what he has in store for the future and I’m eagerly awaiting the v2 version of this bag.
I love this bagpack as an everyday carry and will soon be using it for travelling too. The workmanship is high quality and the minimalist design and concept are brilliant. I hope the material lasts a long time so that I can enjoy it for years to come. Special mention should also be made of the person behind the brand and the product, who always responds quickly and helpfully to queries or uncertainties.
This bag is isn't perfect for me, but when i needed it the most, it always came in clutch. Amazing material, aton of space. I mostly use it for school, and with the expandability it always uses only as much space as its needs to. Incredibly light and durable. a few cons though. the front Zip, always, and i mean always catches with the cover of the bag, although it is easy to remove, but it is a slight annoyance. Also, i seem to find the laptop compartment a bit thin, especially when the main area is filled completely, also, its hard to take stuff out of the Ipad compartment such as a notebook when the pocket in the laptop area is filled
Overall i will rate it 9.5. Well executed and perfect in my opinion.
I had a Cotopaxi allpa 35 but it was huge. So I was on the search for a smaller travel backpack. Read lots of Reddit reviews and watched videos from Danny Packs and Pack Hacker. I purchased 7 different backpacks looking for the one. Comfort, small for my body type but yet carry what I need for 3-4 day trip. All 7 of these bags had pros and cons but the Almond Oak is the one that came in first. This bag is great. Light weight. Holds what I need before expanding it. Comfortable and doesn’t look humongous on my small 5’3” female body. Love everything about it. Returned the other 6. You won’t be disappointed with this bag. Simple, comfortable, and can expand.
